Evergreen Supported Living is looking for creative and fun individuals to provide compassionate support and advocacy through work as Living Skills Specialists.
Evergreen is a team-oriented, high energy environment that strives to encourage greater independence and community integration for individuals with developmental disabilities. Evergreen employees utilize their positions to gain and enhance skills for professional development and have opportunities to work on special projects for specific resume building. Employees would have the opportunity to work individually and/or in group settings. Evergreen boasts a very low turn-over rate, including staff members who have worked with our folks for over 25 years!
AVAILABILITY TO WORK OVERNIGHT SHIFTS IS REQUIRED – $1 shift differential

CPR/First aid Certifications
Bloodborne Pathogens Certification
NAR (Nursing Assistant Registered-Statewide Credential)
Diabetes Management/Insulin Administration training** (Nursing Assistant Registered-Statewide Credential)
Home care aide training
Functional Assessment & Positive Behavior Support training
Continuing education opportunities on a variety of subjects related to the behavioral and social sciences
**Diabetes training is a specialty training that staff would receive if necessary for client care

Required qualifications:
Must have a CLEAN background check
Must have a clean driving record with minimal tickets
Must be able to provide proof of valid driver’s license
Must be a high school graduate, or have a GED
Must be a problem-solver and be able to take initiative & work independently with little supervision
Must have a sense of humor and enjoy working with people
Must be available for a minimum of 20 hrs of training per week during the first 3 months of employment. (We have a very involved training program to prepare new staff for all aspects of the job & ensure comfort, confidence, and competency)
Must be able to commit to 1- year minimum
Pay:
$12.50/13.50 to start
Skill-based and experience-based raises available for qualified individuals
