Job Description Primary Responsibilities:

The site coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the lab, including billing, patient service and general administrative duties. We are looking for an individual who can support staff in providing the best quality care for our patients, while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Coordinate lab activities to ensure overall effective and efficient operations
Liaison staff and management and any partner organizations with regular communication of patient information
Identify and guide vulnerable patients to appropriate programs and care managers by establishing and maintaining clear and concise communications with all interested parties
Collect, process, and enter patient and medical data for billing purposes
Reconcile daily charges with EMR billing orders
Respond to all patient questions and concerns in a timely manner

Qualification Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of medical laboratory practices, similar medical office operations and functions
Competency in EMR and practice management systems
Proficiency working with MS Word, Excel and Databases
Skilled in EMR, Lab Information Systems or other non-FCN based systems

Education and Experience:

HS Diploma or equivalent, College or Trade school preferred
3 or more years experience in medical office/lab preferred
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Immunization requirements:

Adhere to the company immunization policy. Immunizations required: Influenza, Tdap, MMR, Varicella or a verified history of chicken pox disease, PPD and any additional immunizations determined necessary for the protection of staff and patients. Family Care Network will cover the cost of required immunizations for Family Care Network employees; immunizations will be administered by Family Care Network staff. Hepatitus B strongly recommended.
