|Job Description||Medical scribes work alongside medical providers in the emergency room, urgent care facilities or outpatient clinics, inputting information into patients’ medical charts in real time. They also perform many advanced workflow duties that relieve the burdens of paperwork and documentation from busy healthcare providers. Each shift, you will be assigned to work with a Doctor or Physician Assistant.You will enter the patient’s room with the provider to document the subjective and objective portions of the chart, in addition to all treatment and follow-up care directly into the medical record in real time.
PhysAssist Scribes will be responsible for recording patient information in the proper HPI format, from medical history and chief complaints to consultations. Additional duties include transcribing physical examinations and documenting test results, including scan and EKG interpretations, plus accurately noting follow-up care and recommendations.
We are looking to fill several positions (full-time & part-time) at Skagit Valley Hospital, Island Hospital. and St. Joseph Hospital (Bellingham).
|Qualifications||PhysAssist Scribes are highly motivated and driven individuals on a pre-health career track who are at least 18 years old. No prior clinical experience is required, but a GPA of 2.8+ is preferred. Must be proficient in English; fluency in secondary languages is a plus.|
|Days/Hours||The ER is open 24/7 meaning you can work at anytime depending on your schedule and availability.
