Job description / duties
 This customer service position will work independently and as a team member in the Career and Transfer Center. Work may also be done as needed in the Entry Advising Office, during busy periods of registration, providing some assistance to students with check-in during registration and occasionally assisting with campus events, as they relate to career and advising services. These may include, but are not limited to, job fairs and transfer fairs, including helping set up inside and outside. The daily work tasks in this position include updating the WCC job board as well as the Career and Transfer Advising blog, explaining resources to students, staff, faculty, and the public. After initial training, this position will need to understand and be able to explain the use of the software programs such as WOIS, the WWU job postings for students and state job search resources. This position requires excellent computer skills, ability to compose and write short job descriptions, answer phone calls professionally, ability to write a short memo or letter, take phone messages for staff, keep the Career and Transfer Center looking clean and tidy, represent the college in professional manner, and take initiative during slower service periods.
